RSView32 loses primary configuration driver setting

Hello,

I am currently having a problem with RSView32 v6.4 on windows xp. When the pc is shutdown unexpectedly, I lose my setting for primary configuration driver and it says "none loaded". I am running rslinx pro v2.41 and running it as an application. I have read on rockwell help links to try running as a service. When i change the setup utility for rslinx to run as a service i lose my communication for some reason. I am not sure what the difference in running as a service and running linx as an application is. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
