I'm wondering if anyone out there has successfully gotten GE's IGS driver to talk to a Honeywell 620 PLC. I believe that the old SCADA used the EIM driver to talk to an ELPM 620-0073C card, through a serial to 10 base t Ethernet transceiver. The problem is I don't believe EIM is supported on Windows 7 64bit.

I had read somewhere that the Honeywell uses Modbus RTU, but when I add this driver type in IGS, there is no option for a Honeywell PLC.

I tried searching GE's forums, but came up empty. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

There should be three Honeywell models if you are using IGS 7.52 or higher. However, you will want to use one of the Modbus drivers and not the Honeywell ones.

For IGS, which is a private label of KEPServerEX, the help file is the user manual. Modbus addressing is pretty straight forward but you do need to know how the Honeywell is mapping that to Modbus registers.

The IGS helpfile has a section on adding tags and the Modbus help file will have a section on valid modbus address syntax.
