I am going to a customer's site tomorrow to make a small programming change and to troubleshoot a possible issue with the DH+ network. The panel we installed several years ago has a SLC 5/04 and a standard PV1000. These were the only nodes on this DH+ network for years. A couple of months ago the customer asked me to change the node addresses so he could put the SLC on his existing network. I did that and now he says that when he connects his new cable to the SLC he loses communication between the SLC and the PV1000 for "some" of the analog inputs. Maybe this is possible but I would have thought the whole thing would go down instead of a few addresses. One thing he did not do was remove the terminating resistor at the SLC. I told him to do that since it is no longer at the end of the chain. I'm hoping this will fix his issue. Could this be causing the loss of data? Any other things I should look for?
