PanelView Plus 6 1000 Shutting Down

Hi,
I have a new PanelView Plus 6 1000 HMI. When I download my FactoryTalkView ME application to the HMI & try & run it a message pops up saying 'Starting Application. Please wait...' then immidiately displays 'FactoryTalk View ME Station is shutting down...' and freezes!

Any idea's what could be wrong?

One time I converted an older application to a new version and during said conversion, security code "B" was set for my main screen (the one that initially loads). The default user didn't have security code "B" so it would just crash as soon as the screen tried to load.

Took me a bit to figure that one out.

Does the same *.MER runtime file run properly as a Test Runtime on your development computer ?

I've never seen an application automatically terminate itself, but I suppose there's always a first time.

Does your application include a "shutdown" button somewhere prominently on the first page, maybe something that could have inadvertently gotten focus immediately on startup ?

If you give the initial screen a security code that the default user doesn't have then you will...

Great, I tested this to make sure that I wasn't crazy. It worked how I remembered however because the "cancel" box that used to be in the corner is gone, I am in an endless loop of crashing.

FML...

edit: I was still able to download to it. Crisis averted... carry on interwebz...

Does RA have a Knowledgebase document about that issue ? It sounds like a great one to write up.

You are correct. This application was modified from a previous similar job & the security level of the page caused the shutdown.
