Downgrading 1756-L61 Program to 1756-L1

Hi,
I have working programme installed on 1756-L61, for some purposes I need to install at my lab controller which is 1756-L1. I have rev 13 and 17 RSLogix 5000. I tried to change the controller from drop-down list to 1756-L1 but it does not show any rev and therefore this simple method does not work. Please help me out.

Not sure, but L1 is only compatible with versions less than 13.

L1 processors can use firmware versions 13 and below. What is the version of the L62 program that you are trying to download to it. The software will not automatically create a rev. less than the one it was created on. There are technotes that will describe menthods that may work to change say a version 17 program to version 13.

L62 is in rev 17. Can you give any idea about the title or number of tech-notes.
