Analog Input

Hi,
I'm new to analog World!

I Have solar Sensor(5volt), Which output varies from 0 to 200Kohm. which I need to connect to siemens(24 Volt Modules) Analog Input (ET 200s - 2 AI I 2 wire ST, 4 - 20 mA) , HOW? what r the converters required?....PLs Help

If you have a 0 to 200Kohm output sensor and you want to convert to 4-20mA, you need an R/I converter from PR Electronics or other supplier.

Has what you want, but you will have to special order your resistance range.

But if it were me I would go with the Red Lion converter.

Just put your sensor in series with a 250K resistor (or a 200K resistor in series with a 50K potentiometer). Apply 10 volts across the series resistance, and pick your sensor voltage between the mid-point and ground. When the sensor "reads" 0 ohms, you will get 0 volts which the Red Lion will convert to 4 ma for you, and when your sensor reads 250K ohms, the voltage will be 5 volts which the Red Lion will convert to 20 ma for you.
