Hello,

We using the HC900 controller of Honeywell.

Now I have one problem.

Before some days I can connected PC and PLC. When I connecting to PLC, I can upload function blocks, the configurations.

I changed the default IP address 192.168.1.53 for E1 and 192.168.2.53 for E2. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. (for PC’s Lan card address: 192.168.1.86)

But today I can’t connected to PLC.

I tried connect to “192.168.1.53”, “192.168.2.53”, “192.168.1.254”, “192.168.2.254”

Although the connection is not possible.

I would really like to know if there is a method to restore the factory settings (like a hard RESET) in the CPU´s.
I’m using - HCD v4.4
- HC900 redundant system. Model is two controllers C70R.
- I’m using a switch between PC and PLC.

Then I have also tried with the RS232 port I can't connect to it.

I did check that the RS232 was the default. DIP siwtches are configured as they come from factory, and they are set in RS232 mode.

I followed the instructions.

Additional of HC900 controller

Regarding serial communication,
1. First I used the copper cable. Then I used a UTP cable.
Regarding Ethernet communication,
1. I changed IP address of Controller through Ethernet port.
2. I tried send a ping from PC to Controller. But connection is not possible.
c:\ping 192.168.2.254
Reply from 192.168.2.85: Destination host unreachable.

c:\ping 192.168.2.53

192.168.1.53”, “192.168.2.53”, “192.168.1.254”, “192.168.2.254

They are not on the same network. Change everything to either 192.168.1.xxx or 192.168.2.xxx.

1) What position is the run/program mode switch on the RSM module?

2) The IP assignment was correct. This a redundant controller where one controller is on one subnet and another controller is on another subnet. Both controllers cannot be on the same subnet by design.

#2 - This is not true. The controllers are a redundant pair and both controllers have the same IP Address, but only one talks on the network at a time. When you connect to one and change the IP address, the IP address of the other one is set across the backplane of the redunadant rack.

The C70R has two different network ports E1 and E2 so each of these ports on the processor pair has to be on different networks. From the Factory, they are set to 192.168.1.254 for E1 and 192.168.2.254 for E2.

If you are sure you could connect to this system before, they IP addresses shouldn't have changed.

My recommendation would be to remove the system from your network by unplugging ALL E1 and E2 ports, determine which processor is the LEAD but checking the RSM and then connect your PC to the E1 port of that processor and see if you can upload. If not, change your PC to the 192.168.2.xxx network and connect to the E2 port of the LEAD processor.

There is no way to reset to factory settings, but the serial port S1 from the factory is set to 57600 and RS232. If you have the correct serial cable you should be able to use the serial connection to check the IP addresses.

If none of this works, write back with the lights in the RSM as was suggested earlier.

My reply was very badly worded. JHarbin is correct - it is the redundant E1 and E2 ethernet ports that require different subnets, not the redundant controllers.

How to

We using HC900 hybrid control system, Experion HS R400 software.
Now we can export data to MS Excel, but this method is bothersome.
I want to receive data in MS-SQL. How to transfer data from Experion HS R400 to MS-SQL via synchronic?
Please tell me suggestion.
