I have a customer who's Wonderware computer on their compressors died a few years ago. Recently, they asked me to restore the application. I found that the license had expired for Intouch. It was originally licensed to the OEM (
Compressed Air Mgt) who is no longer available.
To me, this is complete overkill for Status on the system.
Intouch is using Multi485 dde server to talk to the compressors. I was thinking about using a Red Lion (RS485)to get the information and give them reports.
I was curious if anyone was familiar with Multi485 dde, that I might be able to build a driver for it. In has COD, and NOD files and a web search also showed it being used by Enercon.
The NOD files contains a number of Items similar to the following.

DDENAME: GetComp5Running
ADVISE: -1
MSG-CODE: 254
MSG-DATA<: 2
DATA-LOC: 2
AND: 10
