SLC and Control Logix Preventive Maintenance

Hi All,

I have to make Preventive Maintenance Plans/Procedure , do anybody got anything regarding Preventive Maintenance of PLC Controller.

Clean the cabinet.
Tight check wire connections.
Back up programs.
Check cooling & heating system applicable.
Replace battery.

Not just internal battery but also check the UPS system feeding it if applicable.

I know these things but do you have any proper/certified docs or any check list type docs which is authentic in nature. Do let me know.

May I ask why do you need official documentation and why you could not create your own? Its so easy, just do it man. Annually for terminals (high vibration do monthly), back up before any download or online edit, check cooling and cabinet cleanliness monthly or weekly if severe environment (or daily...), Battery every three years or when the battery light is on which you will see during your monthly inspection.
Put it in a maintenance system as a scheduled PM or if you don't have one use a calendar.

yeh you are right buddy , i was in a company for 5 yrs who is Allen Bradley representative in our country , but now i have move on and joined Oil and Gas E & P company. My boss requires some authentic PM plan regarding control system, i can make it but he needs something which he things AB representative use.

wht dont you just contact allen bradley directly and ask them. maybe it is in the back of their manuals?
