EDIT: If you are talking about pneumatic 3 way control valves:
I have a bank of 14 of these: http://macvalves.com/valves/3-way-valves/32-series/
In a nasty panel two years so far and no problems. I mounted them in an enclosure an opted for the plug in base with long leads for each valve base wired nicely to the terminal strip above.
So if one ever does fail, you loosen one screw and you have the coil, and all the moving parts in your hand, slap on a new one and turn on the air, r&r in seconds.
They are about half the width of the failure prone model I replaced, have a nice indicator LED, manual operator, and you can get them with din plugs and a wide variety of variations and options.
