There have been five generations of HMI panels from Allen-Bradley that have shared the "PanelView" name. I won't include every variation or detail, but here's the basic evolution:
PanelView 1200 "Classic"
CRT, character-based graphics, DOS "PDS" software.
PanelView 1400e "Enhanced".
CRT (1200e, 1400e) and Flatscreen (1000e), Windows 3.x/95/NT "PanelBuilder 1400e" software.
PanelView "Standard"
Flatscreen (300, 550, 600, 900, 1000) and CRT (1400). Windows 95/NT/2000/XP/7 "PanelBuilder32" software.
PanelView Plus
Flatscreen (400, 600, 700, 1000, 1250, 1500). Windows XP/7 FactoryTalk View Studio and FactoryTalk View Machine Edition.
PanelView Component
Flatscreen (300, 400, 600, 1000), onboard editor/ Connected Components Workshop.
Only the PanelView Plus and PanelView Component are still in production.
I saw you had a thread about PLC-2 and PanelView 1400e, so I'll comment on that separately.
