I am needing to measure the water temperature in a hotwell and coldwell.

I'm trying to find a transmitter with 4-20ma that I can submerge. Any thoughts? I may end up just using rtd with long leads and putting the transmitter up in a dry location. The pits are 12' deep

long leads is no problem for a converter/transmitter.
it is more depending on the display device.
buy a simple rtd display and a doublepole switch and you have a cheap solution.
