Experience with MELSEC(-A) Data Link System

Anyone here have experience with Mitsubishi's Datalink modules.
I have 12 slaves and 1 master, now I want to know if I can read tags from the slaves periodicly and connect some sort of HMI that I will program to display delta values.
(There is a flow of mass through the process, I want to log where mass gets lost along the way.)
