how do i get data from the PLC

im using visual studio express 2012 for a project here
i am supposed to communicate with it but i do not know how to get date from it

You will need to give us more information.
What PLC? What communication protocols are available on it?

They typical method would be OPC but depending on the PLC you may have other options.
