GEM 80 series 400 restoration

I was trying to restore our GEM 80-400 controller after it went into "HALT" state following a system disturbance in our hydro power plant. I am using the following system configuration :
OS-Windows XP SP2
Processor-Pentium IV
Gemesys V3.22
When I click on "PICK CONTROLLER" it says- Load "ESPLINK.EXE?" When I press the yes tab it says "Invalid atom recceived" 8 times & then it says "Stack overflow."
The original laptop provided by Alsthom for programming has got damaged. Please let me know how i can restore my system from "HALT"state. What system configuration & OS is needed for Gemesys V3.22
