help with Rslogix 5000 and festo cpx fb32

Hi mentors
I have a machine with a contrlogix which it has a festo cpx fb 32 connected to it which works ok , but I was wondering if I could get the fault data into the plc any ideas thanks stu

Which fieldbus is being used?

What do you mean my fieldbus

Is the network used to connect the Festo Profibus? or ProfiNet? or Devicenet? or Ethernet? etc?

The Festo 'CPX FB32' is an EtherNet/IP network adapter to which you can add I/O modules and valves.

The User Manual includes some definitions of the System Object and the Status and Diagnostic Object in Appendix B.

You will have to use the MSG instruction to send a CIP Generic message to the module to read any of these objects.

If you can narrow down which object you want to read, we can help you fill out the fields in the MSG instruction to get that data.
