is there any way to modify the logic of the hardware limit switch in movidrive ? my sensor is normally open, and a 0 as default is no sensor or open circuit which send the signal.

do i have to change the sensor or is there a way to change the logic?

i have a movidrive B, and a PNP/NO inductive sensor. i want that when the metal trips the sensor, the controller detects the limit switch

SEW Eurodrive technical assistance let me know that there is no way to change the internal hardware configuration, i need to change my sensor :D just in case someone needed to know :D

Instead of changing the sensor, you can install a small interface relay with one change over contact to do the job.

The SEW drive insists on a N/C limit switch for increased fault tolerance. Lack of signal from opened switch or broken circuit inhibits drive motion for that direction or trips a fault if both signals are missing. Look at changing your prox or target setup. When using a prox for limits I prefer a N/O prox to read a target when in the normal operating envelope. Leaving the target area, mis-adjusted prox and failed prox all inhibit the drive.

Cheers
