I have used this cable many times before with no issues but after using it on another computer I can no longer get it to work with mine. I have checked all my device manager settings and they match the ones in RSLinx. It is recognized by windows and sets up the proper COM port (5) everytime I plug it in. RSLinx says that I have a "Port Conflict". I have had this problem in the past, normally I just stop the driver and restart and it works fine. I've tried to change COM port #'s, still with no luck. I consistantly have a port conflict. Has anyone else had this issue? or any ideas?

Yes all the time (but I do test a lot of cables)

1) Delete the driver in RSLinx (U2DHP)
2) In your device manager (with the cable plugged in) right click and click un-install
3) Once its done remove the cable and reboot your PC
4) start over... once the driver reloads note the COM port
5) remake the U2DHP driver in RSLinx

Should work just fine

I have tried this several times with no luck. The cable has the USB and power lights on when plugged into the laptop. But when I try to start the driver it just tells me it cannot start the device. The device driver then says "running" with a "port conflict".

4a) change the port number to another number
5) remake the U2DHP driver in RSLinx with the new number

If this does not work then you are not following the steps.... just did it today
