Is it possible using FactorySuite ME, with a Panelview+ 700, to sieze control of the input focus and move it around at my programming will?
The scenario I have at the moment is a Control List Selector where I choose something, it downloads a value to the PLC, on receiving that Value the PLC populates 3 Integers with temporary data used for editing, they will be returned where they came from after data has been entered into 3 numeric data entry gadgets on the Panelview.
Let's pretend I already know this is a horrible way of editing this data and that I would love to do it a much better way, but I'm not permitted to by various factors.
What will save the operators of this equipment a lot of time is if I can move the input focus around for them instead of them having to click around the touch screen. There are 105 x 3 parameters they may need to adjust and I am confident they will be sick of this implementation very quickly, I know I am and all I have to do is test it actually works. I am trying to preempt the inevitable back lash.
Focus 1. Control list selector. Selecting item moves to --
Focus 2 data entry box, once data is entered, advance focus to --
Focus 3 data entry box, once data is entered, advance focus to --
and so on, until all 3 data boxes are used, then shift focus back to the control list selector.
Google hasn't been a lot of help on this, I see options that seem to involve VBA, which I would prefer to avoid having never used it in over a decade I don't have much time for a relearning curve.
So yeah, simply put, can I seize control of the input focus and move it around based on events/sequence within a PV+ 700?
