I have a small RIO network consisting of a 1747-SN, a 20-comm-r, and (2) 1791-24b8 modules. I am new at RIO and need to know how to remove the 20-COMM-R adapter from the network since the drive is now controlled discretely with hard wiring. Do I just need to configure the 1747-SN 'G' file for this adapter by unchecking, remove wiring and adapter, and move resistor to next module?

Hi

I believe so as long as the rack you uncheck is the correct rack for that device. As for moving the resistor this would also be correct as long as that was either the first or last item on the network.
