Communication for SLC 5/05 CPU

Ethernet?
Have you setup a driver in RSLinx?
Have you set your workstation with a static IP address on same subnet?

We will need a tad more info to be of much help i imagine.

Open RSLinx from your start menu, (it may already be running as a service)

Select configure drivers from the Communications menu up top.
Select RS232 DF1 from the dropdown and click add new.
If you are using a real serial port juct click auto configure and you should be away.
Otherwise you will need to select the comm port you have plugged the plc into first.
