So I'm new to PLCs and I've been tinkering with some spare parts we've got laying around.
I've got a DH-485 network set up with an SLC 5/02, 5/04, and a 5/05 set as nodes 1, 2, and 3 respectively. The 5/02 connects through a 1747-AIC and the others connect through two 1761-NET-AIC's. All that works perfectly and when I connect to it through the 1761-NET-AIC I can see them all fine.
I've got the 5/05 connected with ethernet to our network and I can see it and program it and whatnot.
Looking at it in RSLinx, the first time I expanded "Channel 0, DH-485" It showed nodes 01, 02, and 03, but they were all the 5/05. I went into the Channel Configuration settings for the 5/05 and I figured out that if I set the Channel 0, DH-485 Passthru Link ID to 2, then I could see the 5/04 and the 5/05 when I expand "Channel 0, DH-485" in RSLinx, but I still can't see the 5/02.
I tried fiddling with the Channel 0 and Channel 1 Passthru Link IDs, but nothing I did would let me see the 5/02. I tried adding a Routing Table with the computer I'm using's IP address set to various stations, but that doesn't seem to help either. Also, I made sure S:34/0 = 0 and S:34/5 = 0.
Is there anything I'm missing? I'm thinking there's something about the node settings that's keeping me from seeing that 5/02, but I'm not really sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
