Is there a way to auto-hide an Alarm banner on factory talk me with a panelview plus? I need it to hide when there are no active alarms. Any help would be much appreciated.
Yes, There is a Close Button that can be written to from the Database.
You'll find it in the Alarm Setup. Assign a bit Address to the Close Button Tag and use Logic to when no alarm exist to Close the Screen. I would suggest to use a 1 second timer to reset the bit. This will allow time for HMI to update and close screen.
If you are referring to an "Alarm Status List" which we use all the time in our screens. I typically use a visibility animation on the object and make it visible only when there is an alarm associated with the "Alarm Status List" active.
I also usually make a maintained button so that you can hide the list as we typically have information beneath the alarm list. In this case you would make the alarm list invisible only when all of the alarms are not active or the toggle button is not active.
Checked my software today at work. In Alarm Setup under the Advanced tab you'll find "Remote Close Display" Once you open the Advanced Tab
use the help button located on the page for explanation of all functions located under the Advance Tab.
