hiiiiiiiii

I am using ABB DCS 800 Drive with a 110 KW motor and 2200/500 RPM
But over 600rpm armature is reaching to its voltage level & tripping with fault F503(Armature Over Voltage)

Parameters I have set are;
M1NomVol (99.02) :- 400V
ArmOvrVoltLev (30.08) :- 120%

What are the probable reasons???????
Plz Help....

Regards,
Ashwini

A DC motor nameplated 2200/500 would expect to see armature voltage rise from zero at zero speed to 400vdc at 500rpm. Above 500rpm to 2200rpm, the voltage should be held constant at 400vdc. Is this how you have the drive programmed?

Please check field weakening options (parameters) on the drive. Normally field weakening starts with armature voltage less than full armature volts, 400 volts in your case.
