Catepillar PL1000E

I have a Cat PL100E configured up as Modbus slave.
9600 B, Int16, 41000 series registers. My Modbus master communicates with the PL1000 and engine parameters are coming across.

Approx. 50% of the registers being received have values exactly double (2x) the value they should be. Why?

Refer to the communication manual of your Caterpillar. Sometimes you need to do slight computations from the value you have extracted.

If it is the same as the EMCP controllers you will have to do a heap of floating point maths. With the EMCP everything is in CAN format with a value, a precision and an offset.
