I have an RIO Network with 4 ASB Adapters each are configured as a 1/2 rack
with 3 modules, 1st is an IB16, 2nd is a IB10XOB6, then an OA8. My problem is the IB10XOB6 module, I get inputs from the IB side and see outputs fire on the OB side but get no light on the module for the OB6 outputs, everything else works. I have used RIO before but never with a combo module. I am not using complementary addressing. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Anyone have a clue. Thanks

If that is complimentry addressing I am not. I address each module as 16 bit word, such as 1/0 to 1/15 for input IB16 and then 1/16 to 1/31 for IB10XOB6 using 1/16 -1/25 as input and 1/26-1/31 as out put, the last module is OA8 and addressed 1/32-1/47 and only addresses 1/32-1/39 in the output image.
This would be Devise 1, 1/2 rack, Group-0,Rack-0 I/O words 0-1-2-3

I prefer to use use Slot:Word/Bit addressing instead of Slot/Bit addressing, because it makes it easier to remember which module is associated with each set of bits.

For this discussion it would also be handy to know what the RIO scanner is; SLC, PLC, or ControlLogix ?

I think your basic mis-assumption is that because the combo module has 16 total points that it numbers them consecutively. It doesn't; instead the Outputs start at zero in the associated Group.

Your modules should be addressed as follows in Standard 16-point Mode.

Slot 00 1794-IB16
Input I:0/00-15

Slot 01 1794-IB10XOB6
Input I:1/00-09
Output O:1/00-05

Slot 02
Output O:2/00-07
