We've got a data acquisition application that's one of the best fault finding tools I've ever used (because I can go back in time and see what was happening). ONce the application is told which tag to log, it adds the historical data to a new file each hour. I can look at I/O, memory bits, DB signals. It retrieves data from the Siemens PLC's over the ethernet network.

My question is, can channel fault data be collected in such a way that it could be accessed?
