Studio5000 / FactoryTalk ME Alarms

Hi all, new here,

I am trying to find a good resource that explains via example on how to use the alarm block is Studio 5000. I do not understand the in-software help on the block.

Also,

If the main operator interaction is completed via interface. Is it better to have alarms managed the Factorytalk? Or does the Studio 5000 alarms somehow get pulled into Factorytalk?

... when I write Factorytalk I mean FactoryTalk View Studio and FactoryTalk ME Station...

I do not believe the ME mines for the alarm blocks the way SE does. You still have to manually enter you alarms in the alarm setup in ME, unless that has changed recently.

I also do not think the alarm blocks will work for ME as they do in SE
That is why I use strings in the alarms in ME and just right my tex in the plc
