Hello,

I have someone here that is starting to learn programming PLC's and I set him up with a copy of Logixpro. He completed the garage door and brought his program in to show me and to my surprise he is using multiple ote's on the same rung and it works.

MY question is should it? Or is this a bug.

Thanks,
Dave

LogixPro allows you to do that. Just like the real world RSLogix5000
for ControlLogix and CompactLogix series of controllers.

The real world RSLogix500 and RSLogix5 would not.

I personally think its bad form. But that is just me (old school I guess)

That makes sense. The only AB stuff I have worked on used Logix 500.

That being said if it was an option I wouldn't use it anyway.

I am the oldest of school. But I have no problem putting 30 OTU instructions in series on a single rung, vs. 30 rungs with a single OTU on each.

The world changes every day, my young peers are not hand-cuffed to 1985 PLC programming restrictions.

PLCs today are fun to work with. :)
