Beckhoff TwinCAT

Hello!

We have some new machines in our facility which have Beckhoff industrial PC's and I/O, running TwinCAT. Are there any online resources for TwinCAT training for the beginner or otherwise?

Go to YouTube and search TwinCAT. It will give you a few videos that will help you quickly get started.

What IO bus is it using (Ethernet, Profibus, DeviceNET, etc.)? Most of the busses are very similar from a TwinCAT perspective, but a few have some additional details you should get to know.

The nice thing about TwinCAT is that you can download and install it on a PC and run it as a PC based controller to get familiar with it. You do not need any other hardware.
