Hello Guys I'm using S7200 Siemens PLC in a conveyor system, I also made SCADA like system where I use PC as a panel. When 1 of the conveyor motor trip, tripped motor will show/blink in the PC screen. all are smooth and running, the problem is I use PC/PPI cable and I wanted to change the cable because I only have 1 PC/PPI cable and I'm going to use it in another programming purposes. Is there any method or can I make a cable that will communicate the (" PC and PLC " )?. It will take time if I'm going to order PC/PPI cable.

Please help :( :(

Any data-driven RS232/RS485 cable will do for S7-200 (only RX, TX and GND are used on the RS232 side). If you google this you'll even find some schematics to roll your own.

Kind regards,
