the problem that rslinx shows micrologix1400 as unrecognized device can i add the eds file so the tags can show to rsview 32 as the tags don't find at rsview32 instead install a new version of rslinx

You will need a minimum of RSLinx 2.54 to talk to the ML1400, as it is a free download from Rockwell (you just need to register) you might as well get the latest of the old version 2.59.
