In almost twenty years of doing this stuff, I think this is the first time I've actually had to replace one.

Of course I find that there are no files saved from RSNetworx, but that can be easily rectified once I'm over the issue.

I plan to configure another unit offline and replace it when the line becomes available. Would copying the parameters on the PointI/O side be enough, or do I need to grab parameters on the trunk, as well?

The 1734-ADN is usually associated with two DeviceNet *.DNT files; one for the network on which it runs as a Slave, and one for the network on which it runs as a Master.

The DeviceNet on which it runs as a Master is generally just the POINT Bus.

To replace a 1734-ADN, you really only need the *.DNT for the POINT network. That includes the Scanlist for the 1734-ADN and any configuration information for the POINT modules.
