Tisoft/545-1106

I am working on a Simatic 505 PLC with a 545-1106 processor. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what version of TISOFT is required to download to this processor. Thanks.

I know that version 7 is backward compatible, we are using it with an old 560/565 and works fine.

I'm kind of new at this, I guess I should have been a bit more specific with my first posting. We currently have TISOFT 2, Release 5.1. I'm wondering if this software can be used with the 545-1106 processor, and if not, what is the earliest release of TISOFT that can be used with this processor. Sorry for the confusion.

Version 5.1 should work fine with that processor. The last version I used was 5.3 on the same model processor.

The only problem you might have is in I/O Configuration. I can't remember if V5.1 had the facility for handling the Profibus DP I/O an -1106 can have.

Check in your offline menu system in CONFIO. If you have the option for PRO-DP on button F6 you should have no problems. If that's missing you can only use the native 505-I/O

Other than that, I don't think there are any instruction set differences that would cause coding problems.
