I'm trying to connect my Siemens field PG P4 to sinumerik 810 to view and edit the S5 program and having problems. Interface set to "Com 1 standard", using 25 pin - 25 pin cable: 6FC9344 4RB00 with interface cable: 6ES 7798 1BA00-0XA0, baud rate set at 1200?? I think.. com 1 standard. I have setting data 5010 as 00000100, SD 5011: 11000111, SD 5013: 11000111. and pressing data in start twice to show"interface busy".. I get PLC Timeout message after a few seconds... I read a previous thread but am not sure what to do next. Do I have the right cables? Do I use the LPT or PLC program connection on the interface cable? Any help will be appreciated.
