Programmatically Change PV+ Recipe

I have a customer who stores their recipes for a machine in a FactoryTalk View Recipe setup, and we're trying to automate the selection of the recipe based on a barcode scanner input. Is there a way to programmatically change the selected FT recipe? I found this old post on the Rockwell forums that says you can't, but can't find anything more recent. Is this still correct?
