G'day to all..

I'm having a problem using Ch.1 ASCII on a ML1500-LRP. I need to use 9600, 7, E, 1 data and have Ch.1 setup as 9600, even, no handshaking, with default /d & /ff termination characters.

No problem transmitting from Ch.1 to a PC running SimpTerm. The problem is that Ch.1 will not properly receive data from the PC!

1) I send one character to Ch.1 and do not see any buffer length changes in the ACB instruction

2) I do see the Function File CS1:19 (bad character count) increment each time, I send a character to Ch.1

3) When I change the data frame in the PC and Ch.1 to 9600, 8, N, 1 (9600, none) the PLC transmits and receives fine....

Soooo.... can I assume that CS1:19 for ASCII will increment every time and invalid data frame is received?

Where's the Bug?

4) RSlogix 6.0?

5) ML1500-LRP, Ser C, Rev D, FRN 9?

6) ME?

Thanx in advance for any and all replies :p
