siemens plc s7-300r

Dear sir,
I having siemens plc s7-300R system and my plc cpu is cpu315-2dp,I am facing problem of plc cpu changeover, when cpu is changeover my running system is getting tripped.Also my plc cpu work memory is 80% full.Give me solution how to format or clear work memory of plc cpu?
