my question,

Hi..

I am using Micrologix 1400 PLC & conserV energy meter. I want to do the communication between them by DH-485 via RS485 port.( As distance between them is 40 meters apart )
I already set the Channel 0 of micrologix 1400 to DH-485 and also I have cat5 cable. i just use a two wire from cat5 cable for the communication from energy meter to controller. but I couldn't get data in my plc..
So kindly help me out for this problem..

Conzerv EM has ModbusRTU port on Rs485 port . Configure MLX 1400 as Modbus Master . Then you can read EM data by MSG instruction . First read help and Modbus comm manual of EM and MLX PLC .
Depending upon training you have received , this activity can take one day to one month.
