cat 5 tester

Hi all,

last week we lost our cat 5 cable tester.
is was a simple tester. one end was the return loop and the other was the tester.
the tester told you pass, which lines were open and if the cable was a crossover cable.

i have searched the internet "cat5 tester" and cannot find this type of tester.
if any of you know of a similar unit, please post.

Mine is from test-um.com LanRoamer Pro TP600.

You will need to look for a used one:

The TP500, TP600 and TP650 are all discontinued. And there is no test-um.com.

That's the one I was actually looking for when I found the other one on Amazon. Both Home Depot and Amazon say they have the Ideal LinkMaster (online). It works pretty well.
