S7-315 and S7-1200 Profinet VSD Connections

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me how many drives (VFD's) we can connect to via Profinet on both a S7-315-2 PN/DP and a S7-1215C CPU? I've thus far only found vague and conflicting information online.

The CPU's are in different classes, how many drives do you need? What are your other criteria ?

Hi Mike,

Thanks very much for your help, those links are very useful. We have five different jobs on the go - one larger one which will utilize the S7-300 and four smaller jobs that will use the S7-1200's.
