RSLogix 5000 Emulate - does not run

Hi,

I installed RSLogix Emulate 5000 19.01.00 on a PC but it fails at start-up.

No error messages during installation.

The error message I get, right after double-clicking the program's icon, is:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Fi...
R6030
- CRT not initialized

Here are the details:
Desktop PC running Windows XP SP3

I read as much as I found on the Internet and convinced myself it has to do with Microsoft Visual C++ Distributables. Here are all the versions I have installed on my PC:

• 2005 / 8.0.56336
• 2005 / 8.0.61001
• 2008 x86 / 9.0.21022
• 2008 x86 / 9.0.30729.17
• 2008 x86 / 9.0.30729.4148
• 2008 x86 / 9.0.30729.6161
• 2010 x86 / 10.0.40219
• 2012 x86 / 11.0.61030.0
• 2013 x86 / 12.0.21005.1

I downloaded the "2012" one to make sure I had all the versions.

I tried all of the usual, such as uninstalling Emulate, re-installing, restarting, etc.

(I found some deeper advice regarding this error - but in the context of other programs failing - which involved messing with the Registry, and therefore I did not follow)

Always the same error message.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Do you have RSLogix5000 and RSLinx installed as well?
If you install both all Emulator dependencies should install for you.
