Hey,

I was wondering if it is possible to comment indirect memory areas somehow in GX works 2. I have profibus communication in my system and I would like to comment the incoming data even thou I’m not using all the data coming in. I’m referring the data to an indirect memory area is there a way to make a list with comments of all the data that is coming via profibus?
Thank you.

Hello,

From your question, I understand that you want to comment the buffer memory addresses (like U0\G0) of special modules, which is very much possible in GX Works 2. Commenting buffer memory is similar to adding comments for regular memory address (like D0, M100 etc,.). You hadn't mentioned the PLC model number. If it is a Q-series PLC you can import system default comments for buffer memories from Comments-->right click-->import system comments ( or something, I don't remember clearly). But it is possible. If you had questioned about something else please clarify.
