Max6316

hello
i have a device that used for communication between the flow meter and the computer . this device input signal convert to RS232.
on IC used in this device 6316 is written.
I did a search on Google to find this IC. but It did not exist exactly same name.
in your opinion MAX6316 Can be used for this purpose ؟؟

This picture probably are RS-232 isolator interface prevent from lightning strike your PC.

IC mostly tagname with MAX232 are RS232 interface,but for MAX6316 base data sheet different application.

suggest get from OEM.
