Basic info:
Wonderware System Platform 2014
Archestra Workflow
External system, Alarm generated Text file With fixed delimiter

I need some advice on how I Can trigger a workflow based on text in a text file.

This text file is generated by an old system and one text file contains one alarm - and the text file needs to be deleted before a new alarm text file is generated.

I am new to wonderware system platform so i dont know how this text file Can be transformed to an alarm in wonderware.

Solition one:
I am thinking that this text file could be parsed to a sql dB and Then a trigger could Update an archestra object which Then trigger a workflow.

Solution Two:
A script in wonderware is Reading this text file and somehow updates an object which Then is trigger a workflow.

Are these solutions possible or do one of you have another solution.

Any help is welcome.
