Problem with ethernet connection between PG and Simatic Panel

Hi all,

I am trying to load a program to a simatic panel

I have set up the ethernet communication so that both my pg and my panel have the same ip settings....

PG
172.19.133.164
255.255.255.0
HMI
172.19.133.161
255.255.255.0
(PC for help with trouble shooting no siemens software installed)
172.19.133.162
255.255.255.0

I have activated the ethernet settings in the options and have also activated remote control.

However I can not ping from the PG to the HMI.
I can ping from the PC to the HMI, and from the PC to the PG but I can not ping from the PG to the HMI.

Does anyone have any help they can give me.

I also have a RS232/PPI Multimaster cable so if anyone can tell me how to transfer using this I would also be greatful

Turn off the firewall on the PC where you cannot PING the HMI.

Will do om going back to work to try rhat now.

Hi Jesper have done that now (Firewall off) but I still cant ping the device

The message on the PG is the network cable is unplugged. The problem for me is the PG as the pc can ping the panel.
