I am trying to connect directly to the 1756-L71 processor I have using a USB cable. The manual says if you have RSLINX 2.57 installed (I do) that the USB driver will automatically configure when you plug into the PLC with the USB cable. For some reason it doesn't and then I get a "driver not found" message from Windows 7. Is there any way to configure a driver to connect directly to the PLC using a USB cable if it does not automatically install the driver like it says? Thanks in advance.

Ok so I followed the link and sort of lost my will to live reading it. It didn't really apply to the question asked here. Or did I miss something?

So, to the OP.....Do a Windows Update. In my experience, it will grab the driver for you.
