Kinetix 3 and CompactLogix

Hello All,

Has anyone tried using a Kinetix 3 servo drive with a CompactLogix controller? i was thinking about using the 1769-ASCII module to communicate via RS-232 to the drive. I am considering giving this setup a try and was curious if any of you out there have ever done it or have recommendations or horror stories.

Use ethernet/IP, that's where it will shine and you can get on with your project. No additional modules to purchase (well, not exactly, depends on which CPU you choose).

Choose a compact logix with motion control, and then it will be very easy to setup everything...

I'm not sure, but you may have to jump up to the Kinetix 300 for Ethernet/IP?
