I am doing a VERY basic training course on PLC operation. We use a phoenix Contact ILC-170-EHT-2TX with a few expanded sinking and sourcing modules. I am new to PC, but have been around PLCs quite awhile. Any brand specific advice to Phoenix Contact info is welcome.

I plan on going over these basics:
Relay vs sink & source (we use all 24VDC)
User interface of diagnostics (custom screens for application)
Basic logic of ladder programming

Is there any feedback on what i am missing? This will be my first class and i want to make sure i am not overlooking anything, or if anyone has some input. Thanks!!
