Hi everyone, could really use some help if you get the chance!!
Trying to create discrete I/O tag with an micrologix program. Green light on window= O:0/1
Can someone fill in the blanks
Access Name: Whatever I call it lets say "green"
Node Name: ? The name of the PLC connected? My computer name? Blank?
Application name: ?? RSLOGIX 500? RSLINX?
Topic Name: Is that the name of my actual RS500 program? Something generic?
Tag Dictionary
tag=o:0/1? I/o discrete
Group= $System?
Access Name= Green

I know it's a little rudimentary but the instructions I had were poorly detailed. I'd appreciate the help.

So I didn't actually configure a DAserver. Seems like a plan. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Can't be any worse than the licensing sans instruction.
After I get that managed.
Access Name= Somename
Node Name= Mycomputername
Application= DASABCIP?
Topic Name= Myprogramname (with no extensions)
Suite link=Yes

In the Dictionary
Tagname: O:0/1 or whatever I want?
Type= IO Real
Item= O:0/1

Is there anything I may be missing other than the money I paid for this highly informative course? Got any you tube recommends?

You paid for what? The help files that come with Wonderware offer far more information than you have apparently been given for free. I'd suggest that you read the help files.

Access Name= Any name that you choose
Node Name= The IP address or Node Name of the PC hosting the IO Server. You may leave this field blank if the IO Server is running on the local node.
Application= DASABCIP? Yes. If that's the Server that you're using.
Topic Name= Any name that you choose, but it must match the configured DASABCIP Topic Name.
Suite link= Yes

In the Dictionary
Tagname: O:0/1 or whatever I want? Any valid tagname will work.
Type= IO Real No. A bit in the PLC is an IO Discrete
Item= O:0/1 Yes. The Item Name must be a valid PLC address.
